The Calgary Flames take to the ice in the ‘Dome in 90 minutes time, and fans are looking for more big performances, not just from the young Flames, but also the top line of Iginla, Tanguay and Jokinen.
The toast of the town so far this pre-season has been T.J. Brodie, who continues to impress Flames fans and management with his solid play. He notched 2 goals in the last game (vs. Tampa Bay Lightning) and was named the game’s first star. The Coyotes will put the pressure on him tonight, for sure, but they will also be zeroing in on the Flames stars.
The Flames newly created top line is still getting to know each other, and have yet to achieve the kind of chemistry they will need to make a big impact this year. Though Iggy has played with Tanguay for 2 seasons, and Jokinen for the equivalent of one full season, the trio have not played together apart for their 2 pre-season matches this year.
