Team Canada announced its roster for the Men’s Ice Hockey Team for the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver today. There were a couple surprises, but for the most part, the roster was what we all expected.

Surprise #1 was that the Captain will be Scott Niedermayer. Most people expected Jarome Iginla or Sidney Crosby and had all but eliminated Niedermayer from the running after a poor start to the Ducks season. Iggy and Sidney were chosen as alternate captains along with Chris Pronger.

We’ll save the rest of the surprises for later. First, let’s get to the team.

No! What are you talking about! I totally didn't get busted blogging at work.

I actually had to go do something really important with a friend and I was getting called out for not being ready to go. So yeah. Totally wrong. I deny getting busted, even though the proof is in the date and time of my post. But, C'mon… it's Team Canada!

For the record, I'm going to do an edit/update to the post with more 'detailed' analysis about my feelings on JBo being left off the list. And who is Patrice Bergeron?!
