The Detroit Red Wings are in town tonight to face the Flames for the
first time this season. One-time Flames winger Todd Bertuzzi will make
his return to the Saddledome. The game will be aired on CBC at 8pm as
part of a Halloween triple-header.
Fans will definitely be dressed up, and there's sure to be many of the
perennial favourites like pirates, princesses, referees, ghosts and
goblins. But the 2 big questions are: how many Balloon Boys will we
see in the stands; and will anyone actually dress up as a pig.
Dress-up fun aside, this promises to be a good game. Both teams are
looking to get back to their winning ways after the Red Wings lost in
Edmonton and the Flames lost to Colorado earlier this week. Games
between the Flames and Wings tend to be unpredictable, physical and
exciting. I already predicted a 4-3 Flames win on Twitter so I'll be
held to this by my followers for sure.
Making his return to the Flames lineup is Dustin Boyd who has been in
bed all week with flu-like symptoms. Nobody will be happier than Eric
Nystrom who will be able to play with his roommate and buddy again.
The implication for Flames fans is that Nystrom will probably score a
goal.
Here are the reported line-ups for the Flames:
Dawes-Langkow-Bourque
Glencross-Conroy-Iginla
Sjostrom-Jokinen-Moss
Prust-Boyd-Nystrom
Regehr-Phaneuf
Sarich-Bouwmeester
Giordano-Kronwall
And guess what?! Kipper will be in net!
Whatever your plans are, have a safe and Happy Halloween.
