How lucky are we?!! Two Alberta battles in 5 days!
The Flames will head down the road to Edmonton again tonight to face their provincial rivals at Rexall Place. The Flames are riding a 3 game win streak while the Oilers are 1-1 to start the season. This is the first time that the Flames have won 3 straight games to start the season since the 1993-1994 1994 season. A win tonight will tie the 1993-1994 record of 4 wins to start the season.
About tonight’s game, we know this so far: Kipper and Khabibulin will start in net; Staios is out; Smid is in and will skate with Souray. Oh… and there will be fights.
Here’s some stats about the Flames players that you may find either interesting or shocking.
Jokinen – has not shot on net yet this year
