After an up-and-down season, the Flames find themselves in 2nd place in the NW division, tied with Minnesota at 79 points apiece. They also find themselves in 6th place in a very tight Western Conference playoff race.
Every 2 points will be important for the Flames if they hope to continue into the playoffs. Each point will be even more important if they hope to have a high rank in the conference standings at the end of the year.
