NHL.com reported that the Flames signed Tanguay to a 3-year, $15.75 million deal.

Calgary also announced the signing of left winger Jeff Friesen today. Friesen signed a 1-year, $1.6 million deal with the Flames. In 11 seasons, Friesen has 212 goals and 504 points in 821 games. He will bring consistency and a great team-attitude to the Flames.
