Tonight’s game should be a good one. The Calgary Flames (30pts- tied for 1st in NW) host the Edmonton Oilers (27pts – 3rd in NW). The Flames are have won 10 of their last 11 games, while the Oilers have won 4 of their last 5.

The Calgary’s keys for success in this game lie with their defence. Since they average less than 3 goals per game the Flames defence needs to remain strong, and goalie Miikka Kiprusoff needs to continue with his solid performance of late.

Calgary can capitalize on Edmonton’s poor penalty killing. In their last 5 games, the Oilers have given up 8 power play goals on a total of 32 chances. That is a weak point for the hollers.

Also, keep your eye on Tony Amonte, who needs just 2 goals to reach the 400 career goals mark. You know he’ll be on his game tonight. What better way to reach 400 than against one of the Flames biggest rivals of all time. And to do it at home… That’s even better.
